EVENTS
July 2009
Alta Vista Center is proud of the success of the Feast and 5K run/walk event on August 30th at Villagio at Inverness Park. Over 130 families, staff, and friends joined our AVCA team for the walk and helped us raise over $24,000 for our programs. This annual family-friendly event drew over 2,000 walkers and runners and was notable for its great course, gourmet food, music, and children's playland. AVCA sends a special shout out to Peter Kudla of Metropolitan Homes for his support and generosity in giving us the opportunity to join the event.
Charity of Choice at The Lobby
Alta Vista Center was the charity of choice at the recent grand opening of The Lobby restaurant on 2191 Arapahoe Street near Coors Field. The Lobby features contemporary American food with a great happy hour, brunch, and a spectacular patio. Thanks to the generosity of the Lobby's patrons and owners Cory and Rachael Schwab, AVCA received $1700 in donations in support of our programs for children with autism. Please visit The Lobby's website at http://www.thelobbydenver.com/ or call 303-997-9911.
February 2009
Alta Vista Center launches an endowment campaign with an elegant kick off in February. We intend to raise $500,000 over the next three years to support our efforts to serve more children with autism and further the statewide level of expertise in autism. We have received a $100,000 matching grant toward this goal. For further information about our campaign, please contact Nancy at nhill@altavista-autism.org or call 303-759-1192 ext 11.
