Introduction to our Center-Based Programs2008-2009 Information
The Alta Vista Center offers year round programs at our Center in south Denver. Parents and school districts can choose between full and half day options. Full day programs run Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 3:30 p.m, and half day programs run Mon through Friday 9:00 to 12:00 or 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Our Early Childhood Program is for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. Our Foundations of Learning is for children ages 6 to 18 years old. Our Intensive Treatment Program is a intensive treatment program for children with challenging behaviors, ages 8 to 18 years old. Our After School Program. The after school program is for children 6 to 18 years old and emphasizes community activities and therapeutic recreation. The primary goal of this program is to provide opportunities for students of varying abilities to practice social, communication, and independent living skills through a variety of fun activities including art projects, community outings, and therapeutic recreation. Our Community Connections program is a summer therapeutic recreation program for children ages 6 to 14 years old.
